*** iPhone speed camera alert system for over 700 static and mobile speed camera locations in Ireland ***

Stay safe, avoid penalty points and speeding fines with the IrishSpeedTraps iPhone app.

IrishSpeedTraps.com have been gathering speed camera locations in Ireland since 2006. We specialise in Irish speed trap locations and have the most reliable database of speed traps in Ireland. And now our database is available on your iPhone.

Beware of imitators with inferior speed camera database apps. Download the original and best, the IrishSpeedTraps iPhone app.

Our database contains all the Static Gatso cameras as well as the most frequent mobile camera locations operated by An Garda Síochána and GoSafe (private camera operators).

As you approach a speed camera location the IrishSpeedTraps iPhone app will produce a visual and audio alert. You can configure the app to notify you of either static or mobile camera locations, or both. You can also report new speed camera locations you come across directly from the app.

IMPORTANT NOTE RE MOBILE CAMERA ALERTS:
We wish to clarify that this app does not warn you of mobile camera locations in real time (which would be illegal). The app simply warns you of the locations where mobile cameras frequently operate so you can slow down in these areas. When you get an alert for a mobile camera location it does not mean there is definitely a mobile speed trap ahead, it simply means the Gardai or GoSafe frequently set up speed traps in that location so you should be extra cautious. A strict criteria is applied before a mobile camera location is added to the database so you can rest assured that when you do get a mobile camera alert there is a high probability there could be a mobile speed trap ahead.

NOTE RE GARDA SPEED ENFORCEMENT ZONES:
We do not include the new mobile camera locations from the Garda website. These locations are just a list of where the Garda and GoSafe (private camera operator) intend to operate speed traps. We believe it is more reliable to only include locations where speed cameras have actually been spotted rather than rely on a list given to us by the people who operate the speed cameras. If speed traps are set up in the locations on the Garda website then no doubt they will make it into our database.
